Alexander Anatolyevich Lerman (May 24, 1952, Moscow – October 10, 2011, Newark, Delaware) was a Soviet musician, singer and composer. He was a member of the groups "Winds of Change", "Skomorokhi", "Vesyolye Rebyata", "Araks". He later became an American philologist, linguist, and specialist in Indo-European philology. He graduated from the Gnessin Secondary Specialized Music School, majoring in cello. He taught at the University of Delaware until his death as an associate professor. With his participation, the newspaper "Polyglot" was published, where Lerman wrote an etymology column.
