Karl "Charly" Brunner (born February 28, 1955 in Graz) is an Austrian . He is part of the hit duo Simone & Charly Brunner. Until 2010 he formed the hit duo Brunner & Brunner together with his brother Johann. Charly Brunner grew up in Murau in Styria and has been making music with his younger brother Johann since he was 15 years old. First they appeared as the cover band Happy in their home country, then they became known as Brunner & Brunner with pop music before they announced their separation in 2010 after 38 years together. Both announced that they wanted to continue solo in different musical directions.
