Darude (Ville Virtanen) is a Finnish producer and DJ. He debuted in 1999, his first single ("Sandstorm") was released in 2000, later included on the album Before the Storm. In 2002, Darude released the album Before the Storm: Special Edition, which included the best remixes of his works. In 2003, with the support of producer Heikki "Bostik" Liimatainen, a new album Rush was released, with notes of trance and ambient, with which Darude toured the United States and Eastern Europe. On January 29, 2019, he was chosen to represent Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019.
