Ekaterina Feoktistovna Shavrina (born December 15, 1942, Pyshma, Sverdlovsk region, USSR) is a Soviet and Russian singer, performer of folk songs. People's Artist of the Russian Federation (1995). The only Soviet singer who performed twice (1981, 1983) with solo concerts in the meeting room of the United Nations. The popularity of Shavrina was brought by the songs "Naryan-Mar", "Bells" and "Poplars", written by the composer Grigory Ponomarenko. In 1964 she became a soloist of the Mosconcert. In 1967, she starred in the film Two Hours Early. In 1969, she appeared in the film "Moscow in Notes", performing the song "What was, then was" in it.
