Eric Philippi (born January 2, 1997 in Saarbrücken) is a German pop singer, trumpeter and producer. Eric Philippi grew up in Saarland and started playing the trumpet at the age of nine. After classical training as a trumpeter, he developed a great interest in big bands and jazz in his youth. As a long-standing member of the Saar Youth Jazz Orchestra, he played a large number of concerts in southern Germany while he was still at school. At the age of 15, Philippi began taking singing lessons. He initially began an apprenticeship as a vehicle mechatronics technician, but then decided on a musical career after winning the radio station Radio Salü's newcomer competition in 2015.
