Gentleman (born April 19, 1974 in Osnabrück; real name Tilmann Otto) is a German reggae musician. Gentleman was inspired by the mixtapes his brother brought him from Jamaica. As a result, Gentleman traveled to the Caribbean island for the first time at the age of 18 to discover the music there. Gentleman took his first musical steps as a selector for the 7 Star sound system. A short time later he developed into the MC for Pow Pow Movement from Cologne and then switched to the Hamburg sound system Silly Walks from around 1992.
