Green Grey is a Ukrainian rock band founded in Kyiv in the spring of 1993. Their work blends diverse styles and musical genres, including rock, pop, funk, trip-hop, dubstep, techno, electro, and more. The band jokingly referred to their style as "ukr-pop," a play on Britpop. Since 2012, Green Grey has been experimenting with electronic rock sounds. Green Grey was the first Ukrainian band to participate in the MTV Europe awards twice, signed a contract with Pepsi in 1996, began performing with a live DJ and a professional ballet company, and organized rock shows featuring special effects, pyrotechnics, and stage transformations.
