Igor Kornilov - author and performer, was born on May 18, 1968 in Odessa (Ukraine). When the future composer was 2 years old, his parents decided to devote themselves to the construction of the Nurek hydroelectric power station, so Igor spent his childhood and youth in Tajikistan. There he picked up the guitar for the first time, very quickly became the "star" of the local Palace of Pioneers. During his student years, he did not leave music: he wrote songs, participated in the institute's amateur performances, and even performed with a guitar on the Arbat. There he met producer Viktor Krainitsky, who became interested in the songs of the young composer. For the next few years, the artist worked under the auspices of the Vladimir Miguli Music Center, and in 1990 he became the soloist of the Children of the Arbat group.
