Igor Evgenievich Mateta (born April 25, 1963) is a Russian composer and singer, one of the leaders of the Parrot duet. A native of Dnepropetrovsk. In 1990 he graduated from the State Musical Pedagogical Institute. Gnesins, after which he actively works in the genre of pop music. He worked with such poets as Leonid Derbenev, Nikolai Zinoviev, Vladimir Stepanov, Sergey Kargashin, Simon Osiashvili, Anatoly Poperechny. He is the author of such hits as “Play, musician”, “Live, country”, “Don’t wake me up”, “You fell from the moon”, “I don’t want anymore”, “The closest person”, “I was not like that” , “Drunken coachman”, “Only night”, “Remember and do not need” (No need) and others.
