Igor Parfenov compositions sheet music and chords

Igor Alekseevich Parfenov was a Ural composer, artist, and teacher. He was born on April 9, 1928, in Kurgan. He began studying piano at the age of six, and began composing short melodies at 14. During the Great Patriotic War, Parfenov and his classmates formed a creative team that performed concerts and comic plays for wounded soldiers in hospitals. In 1947, he graduated from the Baron Stieglitz Leningrad Higher Art School. For 40 years, he taught solfeggio and musical literature at a children's music school. In 1966, he began composing music in Kurgan. Parfenov passed away in 2018 at the age of 90. The children's music school in Kurgan, where he worked, was named after him.
