Kalim (born 1992 in Hamburg-Billstedt, bourgeois Kalim Shamim) is a German rapper of Afghan origin. He is under contract with Universal Music. Kalim spent his childhood in Hamburg's Billstedt district. He has Afghan roots. According to his own information, he began to rap in 2006. In 2011, Kalim released his first mixtape Where I live and aroused the attention of SSIO's manager, who had the label All or Nix Records while Xatar was still in prison. In late 2011 he was then signed and released together with Xatar and SSIO the single AON Spezial on the Youtube channel of Alles or Nix Records. This was followed, inter alia, cooperation with SSIO and Nate57.
