Karnaval is a Soviet rock band created in 1979 by Alexander Barykin and Vladimir Kuzmin. In 1981, at the suggestion of composer Vladimir Matetsky and poet Igor Kokhanovsky, the group recorded their first magnetic album "Superman". They pay attention to Carnival, and in 1981 the first EP of the group was released at the All-Union Recording Company Melodiya, which was a huge success and sold millions of copies across the country. This EP included only three songs - "Sudden Dead End", "Empty Word" and "I Know Now".
