Kato (real name Thomas Kato Vittrup) is a Danish DJ and music producer. He was born on September 13, 1981, in Thisted. He began making music in 2005, performing in clubs and remixing songs by famous artists. He began releasing his own tracks in 2008. Commercial success came to the DJ in 2010 with the single "Turn the Lights Off." The song achieved platinum status, selling 30,000 copies. The track was recorded in collaboration with Jon (Jon Nørgaard), a contestant on the Danish singing competition show Popstars.
