"Korobeyniki" is a Soviet vocal and instrumental ensemble (VIA) that existed from 1970 to 1983. The ensemble was created in Moscow by musician Alexander Popov at "Rosconcert" in 1970. The origins of the ensemble come from the male vocal quartet "Ton", performing traditional Russian folk songs. The group included singers: Alexander Popov, Vladimir Chuikin - tenor, Yuri Menshov - bass profundo and accompanist, pianist, composer Sergei Dyachkov. Over time, the musicians continued their performances as part of the Moscow Music Hall.
