Krasnye Maki is a Soviet vocal and instrumental ensemble (VIA) created by Arkady Khaslavsky, which existed in the 1970s and 1980s under the leadership of Valery Chumenko. In 1986 it was officially renamed into the Maki group. In the future, the paths of the Philharmonic Society and the participants of the VIA "Red Poppies" parted. Thanks to the equipment, instruments and props owned by Arkady Khaslavsky and the musicians, at the suggestion of Felix Katz (the festival department of Rosconcert, the musicians began to work from the Vladimir Regional Philharmonic Society with a rehearsal base in Moscow called "Hello, Song".
