KVATRO is a vocal group created in 2003 by graduates of the V.S. Popova, leaders in the Classical Crossover genre in Russia. The original line-up included: Leonid Ovrutsky (baritone), Anton Sergeev (tenor), Anton Boglevsky (tenor), Denis Vertunov (bass). In 2017, Denis Vertunov was replaced by Danila Karzanov (bass). The incident that happened to the members of the team during their internship in Italy helped to choose the name of the group. Having learned that they live not far from the house of Placido Domingo, the friends went to sing under his windows. The locals called the police, calling the soloists "quattro ragazzi" (4 guys). The band members liked this sound, but for greater conciseness, they decided to simplify it to one word.
