Lee Marrow (Francesco Bontempi, born July 23, 1957 in Marina di Carrara) is an Italian DJ and singer who was successful in the mid-1980s, during the Italo Disco Wave. His biggest hit was Shanghai in 1985. Francesco Bontempi began his musical career in 1970 as a drummer in various local groups. From 1974 he worked as a DJ in Italian clubs, which he gained more and more popularity. So it came in the mid-1980s to a recording contract as Lee Marrow. The singles produced by Severo Lombardoni's Lombardoni Edizioni Musicali made it into the top 10 in Germany and Switzerland as well as in the Austrian Top 20. The successive single Sayonara (Do not Stop) only managed the chart entry (24th place) in Germany.
