Lyudmila Tadyevna Barykina (January 21, 1953, Balti - December 3, 2023) - Soviet and Russian pop singer. She gained all-Union audio fame after the release of David Tukhmanov’s concept album “In the Wave of My Memory” in 1976, for which she recorded the song “Confusion.” She was the fourth (following Alla Pugacheva) and last female soloist of the vocal-instrumental ensemble “Jolly Fellows” (1977-1981), during which she became recognizable. After leaving "Merry Fellows" she performed in restaurants, ending her singing career with the collapse of the USSR in the early 1990s. Apart from a few frames, not a single entire video recording of Lyudmila Barykina has survived in the public space.
