Cayo Alexander Cruz (Diamantina, February 25, 1994), better known as MC Lan, is a Brazilian funk performer from São Paulo. He is currently a member of Warner Music Brasil Records and Produtora Kondzilla Records. Influenced by the styles of rock, blues and rap, Cayo became a radio announcer in his teens, and a few years later had the opportunity to create a rap show - group 509-E. Cayo was arrested in 2015 and was in prison for about a year and a half, and after leaving prison he began to live on the street. At the beginning of 2016, Cayo decided to pursue a career as a singer, received a contract to record his first song and started with the stage name Lan.
