Michael Stein is an American record producer and composer. 2 Born in 1984. He is best known as a member of the Austin synth band S U R V I V E and as the composer of the music for the Netflix series Stranger Things. Along with bandmate Kyle Dixon, he wrote the soundtrack for the series in 2016. For their music composition for Stranger Things, Michael Stein and Kyle Dixon have received numerous awards and nominations, including a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Theme Song (2017).
