Mikhail Pavlovich Ryba (1923–1983) was a Soviet singer and bass profundo. He was born on February 16, 1923, in Warsaw to a Jewish family of musicians. At the beginning of World War II, on the advice of his parents, he crossed the border of the USSR on a bicycle and went to Vitebsk, where he entered the local music school. In 1943, he moved to Moscow, where he graduated from the vocal department of the Academic Music School at the Moscow State Conservatory. He sang on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater and on All-Union Radio. He worked at the Moscow State Philharmonic. His voice was heard in such films as "Quiet Flows the Don", "Russian Souvenir", "Carnival Night", "The Last Inch", and in the cartoon "The Most, Most, Most, Most".
