Mikhail Ivanovich Krasev (1897-1954) - Soviet composer. Laureate of the Stalin Prize of the second degree (1950). He studied music theory with Alexander Grechaninov, Isai Dobrovein and Nikolai Zhilyaev. In the 1920s he was a member of the ORKIMD. In 1922-1925, an instructor at the Youth House of the Moscow branch of Narobraz. In 1925-1927, the musical director of the Blue Blouse collective under the Medsantrud alliance, later also worked in the Bolshevik labor commune, Central House of Artists. He recorded folk songs in the Caucasus, in Belarus, in the Crimea. Krasev died on January 24, 1954 in Moscow. He was buried at Vvedensky cemetery.
