Natalie Marie Cole (February 6, 1950, Los Angeles – December 31, 2015, Los Angeles) was an American singer, songwriter, and actress. The daughter of popular jazz pianist and singer Nat King Cole. She achieved great success early in her career thanks to her R&B compositions, and by the early 1990s, she had gradually changed her repertoire towards pop music and jazz. Over the years of her career, she was nominated for the prestigious Grammy Award 19 times and won it nine times.
