Pavel Kuzmich Aedonitsky (August 19, 1922, the village of Troitskoye (according to other sources, the village of Kadievka), Lugansk region - March 16, 2003, Moscow) - Soviet and Russian composer, People's Artist of the RSFSR (1984). The childhood and youth of the future composer were spent in Gorky, where he graduated from the historical and theoretical department of the music school. Then, in 1941, he entered the medical institute. In connection with the outbreak of war, the need for medical workers increased greatly, so the course of the institute was reduced to three years. In total, Aedonitsky created more than two hundred songs, he also became the author of music for 60 performances and films, the children's operetta "Turnip", the vocal and symphonic suite "Young Virgin Lands", orchestral and choral works.
