R.A.SVET is the pseudonym of the artist Ramazan Akhmedov. He was born in Dagestan, and then moved to Moscow with his family. The pseudonym R.A.SVET has several meanings: Ra is the god of the sun, translated as the original light; R.A. are the initials of the artist, and for many it is associated with light; and dawn is the time when the best songs and poems come.
