Рок-Ателье is a Soviet and Russian rock band founded in 1980 by Chris Kelmi. In addition to Chris Kelmi (keyboards), the lineup included Pavel Smeyan (vocals, flute, piano), Alexander Smeyan (vocals, bass guitar), Sergey Berezkin (guitar), Boris Oppenheim (keyboards), Yuri Titov (drums). In 1981, the Melodiya company, based on last year’s recordings, released the flexible EP “Rock-Atelier” with the song by Chris Kelmi to the words of Alexander Smeyan “Open the window” and with the song by A. Smeyan “I sang when I flew.” The group takes part in the production of the rock opera “Juno and Avos”. In 1989, the song “Night Rendezvous,” written jointly by all members of the group, won the all-Union competition “Song of the Year.”
