"Russkaya Pesnya" is a Soviet and Russian musical group working in the genre of folk songs. It was created in 1975 within the walls of the Gnessin Institute by a graduate of the institute, Nadezhda Babkina (contralto). In the first years, the ensemble consisted of girls singing a cappella, in later years the female composition was expanded by singers. It tours across Russia and many countries around the world. The "Russkaya Pesnya" ensemble strives to be at the forefront in its work, to keep up with modern trends and actively use advanced technologies and fashion trends in its concerts.
