Sarkhan Sarkhan (Azerbaijani Sərxan Rəşid oğlu Qurbanbəyov; born June 18, 1952, Baku, AzSSR) is a Soviet Azerbaijani author and performer of pop songs, actor. Honored Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR (1987). People's Artist of Azerbaijan (2018). Laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize. Sarkhan Sarkhan began his creative career with playing Spanish songs on the guitar. He gave concerts in Baku - at the Green Theater, the State Song Theater named after Rashid Behbudov. Left for Moscow after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. He sang in Moscow restaurants. He was a soloist of the VIA "Red Poppies".
