Roland Meyer de Voltaire (born September 8, 1978 in Bonn) is a German singer, film music composer, songwriter and music producer. He grew up in Bonn, Moscow and Beijing, as one of three sons with a German father and a Bolivian mother. Meyer de Voltaire was the front man of the then band Voltaire from 2003 to 2011. With Voltaire he released two EPs and two albums, including the 2006 album Today is Every Day. Meyer de Voltaire has been performing under the name SCHWARZ since 2016, released several singles and EPs and in 2019 the album White Room.
