The Gaza Strip was a Russian punk rock band formed on December 5, 1987 in the city of Voronezh, Russia. Despite the fact that it exists only partially officially (due to obscene lyricism), the group remains popular in modern Russia. The name of the group was taken from the industrial area of Voronezh with the same name (which is so named because of the high level of environmental pollution). Their musical style can be defined as Russian punk, integrated with elements of various musical genres, such as rock, rap and Russian folk.
