Sergei Banevich compositions sheet music and chords

Sergei Petrovich Banevich (December 2, 1941, Okhansk, Molotov Oblast – December 21, 2025, Saint Petersburg) was a Soviet and Russian composer and Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1982). Sergei Banevich was born in Okhansk, Perm Oblast, where his family was evacuated during World War II. In 1944, his family returned to Leningrad. Banevich received his musical education at the Leningrad Conservatory. He graduated in 1966 and completed his postgraduate studies in 1969 under Orest Yevlakhov. He collaborated fruitfully for many years with poet Tatyana Kalinina. Their joint adaptation of The Snow Queen ran at the Bolshoi Theater from 2014 to 2020.
