Sergei Aleksandrovich Drozdov (January 28, 1955, Gomel Oblast, Byelorussian SSR, USSR – November 18, 2012, Tambov, Russia) – singer, guitarist, and lead singer of the vocal and instrumental ensemble "Blue Bird" from 1974 to 1988. He gained fame in the 1970s as the first performer of the popular lyrical and romantic hits in the USSR, such as "Where the Maple Rustles...", "You Don't Dream of Me", "I'm Coming to Meet You", and "White Ship". Possessing a unique timbre, Drozdov (lead vocals, guitar, bass guitar) was the ensemble's most distinctive vocalist and gave "Blue Bird" its vibrant and memorable sound. According to Rossiyskaya Gazeta, Drozdov was one of the most recognizable voices in the Soviet Union.
