Sergey Mikhailovich Penkin is a Soviet and Russian singer, musician, composer, and teacher. He was born on February 10, 1961 in Penza. In 2023, he received the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. Since 2015, he has been an associate professor at the Department of Pop and Jazz Art, Faculty of Musical Arts, Institute of Fine Arts, Moscow State Pedagogical University (MPGU). He is a member of the board of trustees of the interregional public organization "Penza Community". Penkin's repertoire includes Russian folk and author's songs, romances, opera arias, popular Western hits, works by contemporary Russian and foreign authors - more than 200 songs in total.
