Sergey Sergeyevich Zhilin (October 23, 1966, Moscow, RSFSR, USSR) is a Russian pianist, conductor, bandleader, arranger, and composer. He is a People's Artist of the Russian Federation (2019) and a Mosconcert artist. He is the leader of musical groups united under the general name "Phonograph": "Phonograph-Jazz-Trio", "Phonograph-Jazz-Quartet", "Phonograph-Jazz-Quintet", "Phonograph-Jazz-Sextet", "Phonograph-Dixie-Band", "Phonograph-Jazz-Band", "Phonograph-Big-Band", and "Phonograph-Symphonic-Jazz". Sergei's first music teacher in his early childhood was his grandmother, Tamara Viktorovna, who herself graduated from the Rostov Conservatory and taught piano and violin. At the age of 2.5, she discovered that Sergei had perfect pitch and put him in front of an instrument.
