The Shtar group was positioned as a gypsy, although only its leader has a gypsy origin. The name of the group in gypsy means "four" and was born as a symbol indicating the initial number of participants, and remains unchanged regardless of the composition of the group. Rustam Plenkin organized the Shtar group in 1994 after graduating from the Gnessin Academy. In the 2010s, Rustam Plenkin began his solo career, the Shtar group was transformed into an accompanying group, and its name became the stage name of the singer.
