"Smerichka" (Ukrainian: смерічка — spruce, little tree) is a Ukrainian Soviet pop vocal and instrumental ensemble created in 1966 by a graduate of the Mukachevo Music and Pedagogical College Lev Dutkovsky in the Vyzhnytsky House of Culture. L. Dutkovsky created a vocal group (backing vocals) consisting of: Raisa Khotymska, Maria Nagolyuk, Stella Frunze, Nina Tsopa and a big beat group, which included Oleksiy Goncharuk — vocals, guitar, Oleksandr Shklyar — lead guitar, saxophone, Yuriy Shorin — drums, Viktor Muzychko — bass guitar, Valeriy Burmich and Leonid Sirenko — wind instruments, L. Dutkovsky — keys, guitar, vocals. The first soloists of the Smerichka ensemble: Lidiya Shevchenko, Vladimir Matvievsky at the beginning of 1968, Maria Isak.
