Tatyana Semushina is a folk singer, winner of international and all-Russian competitions, and winner of the Imperial Culture Prize. She was born on March 16, 1977, in Spassk-Dalny. She received her musical education at the I.V. Kazenin Kirov College of Musical Art and the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, specializing in solo folk singing. Until 2014, she worked as a solo vocalist at the Mosconcert (Moscow). Since 2011, she has taught at the Ippolitov-Ivanov State Musical Pedagogical Institute (Moscow). Tatyana Semushina's repertoire includes Russian folk songs, Russian romances, songs by Soviet composers that have become folk songs, and modern arrangements of beloved songs. In 2007, she released her first album, "This is My Heart Telling You." The singer's awards include a diploma from His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Rus' and a bishop's diploma from the Elista and Kalmyk Diocese.
