Teona Georgievna Kontridze is a Georgian and Russian jazz singer, actress, and television presenter. She was born on January 23, 1977, in Tbilisi (Georgian SSR, USSR). She grew up in a musical family: her grandfather played the piano, her mother was a singer, and her father, an engineer, accompanied relatives. From the age of six, she studied piano at a music school for gifted children, and from the age of seven, she was a member of the Georgian ensemble "Mziuri." After graduating, she moved to Moscow and enrolled in the Gnessin State Musical College, majoring in pop and jazz vocals. After graduating, she almost immediately joined the troupe of the musical "Metro," and after completing the project, she decided to pursue a solo career: she formed a jazz band and performed in restaurants and clubs. In 2019, she co-hosted the "New Wave" competition with D. Karibidis. In 2021, she co-hosted the "New Wave" competition with N. Tsiskaridze. That same year, she was a jury member on the show "The Big Musical" and also appeared on the TV show "Guess the Melody" on Channel One. In 2022, she hosted the show "Big Jazz" on the Kultura channel.
