Toni Hämmerle compositions sheet music and chords
Toni Hämmerle (born December 11, 1914, in Mainz; died December 8, 1968, in Gießen) was a German composer, pianist, organist, and violinist. After his childhood and schooling, Hämmerle completed his music studies with the state examination at the Peter Cornelius Conservatory in Mainz and worked as a music teacher in his hometown from 1933 onward. Hämmerle, who had always suffered from poor eyesight, lost his sight completely when he was buried in rubble during a bombing raid on Mainz in 1941. In 1952, he began his musical collaboration with Ernst Neger and thus also with the Mainz Carnival Association. His greatest success came in 1963 with the song "Humba Täterä." He wrote numerous popular and carnival songs and, in addition to many pieces for Ernst Neger, also composed for Margit Sponheimer, Heinz Schenk, Camillo Felgen, Ralf Bendix, and Paul Kuhn.
