Valentina Grigoryevna Kosobutskaya (born October 17, 1947, Leningrad) is an actress of the St. Petersburg Musical Comedy Theater, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (2002). Kosobutskaya gravitates toward roles with strong characters, sometimes of a grotesque nature. Among them: Rosemary (How to Make a Career), Aunt Polly (The Adventures of Tom Sawyer), Dunyasha (Women's Revolt), Beatrice - the first performer in Truffaldino, Rosita (Don Juan in Seville), wife and Florentina (Oh, These Sweet Sinners), Ebi (Arsenic and Old Wine), Tatyana Fyodorovna (Mistakes of Youth). Valentina Kosobutskaya has been acting in films since 1974. Viewers remember her, first of all, for her role as Beatrice in Vladimir Vorobyov’s musical comedy “Truffaldino from Bergamo”, Dvulich in the fairy tale “A Merry Dream, or Laughter and Tears” and Baba Yaga in the musical fairy tale “The New Year’s Adventures of Masha and Viti”.
