Valentina Tikhonovna Pudova is a pop singer, accordion player, songwriter, performer of Udmurt and Russian folk songs. Soloist of the Udmurt State Philharmonic. People's Artist of the Udmurt Republic, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. She was born on January 11, 1964 in the village of Petukhi, Sharkansky District, 23 km from Izhevsk. She grew up in a family of farmers. After finishing school, she moved to Izhevsk, where she was going to get a job at a factory. However, on the recommendation of her brother, she auditioned for the song and dance ensemble "Italmas", after which she was accepted into the group. Pudova gained wide fame thanks to the songs "Cheryomukha", "Everyone Says That I'm Drunk", "Fate-Fortune Teller" and others. In 2002, she founded her own ensemble, which is named after its creator - "Valentina".
