"True Friends" is a Soviet vocal and instrumental ensemble (VIA) of the first half of the 1970s from Moscow. The accompanying group of Valery Obodzinsky. In 1972, David Tukhmanov wrote a cycle of pop songs and, in search of performers, drew attention to the VIA "Moskvichi", created a year earlier. Tukhmanov offered the Muscovites three songs, which they successfully performed: “How beautiful this world is”, “Rains fell” and “A day without a shot”. The new name of the band - “True Friends” - was suggested by the trombonist and violinist Igor Oskolkov based on the film of the same name, in which the song “True Friends” (or “The Song of Friendship”) by Tikhon Khrennikov and Mikhail Matusovsky sounded.
