Vladimir Asmolov (real name Vladimir Pavlovich Savelyev; born November 15, 1946, Stalino (now Donetsk), Ukrainian SSR) is a Soviet and Russian singer-songwriter in the genres of Russian chanson and urban romance. Laureate of the "Chanson of the Year" award. Vladimir did not receive a musical education, but he writes not only poetry for his songs, but also music. After unsatisfactory collaboration (as a songwriter) with several Soviet composers, he created his first author's album "Girls-Venerochki" (1986). The singer's calling card was the composition "Autumn of Life" from the album "Tin Soul" (1988).
