Vladimir Yurievich Bystryakov (Ukrainian Volodymyr Yuriyovich Bistryakov; born December 13, 1946, Kiev) - Soviet and Ukrainian composer, pianist, showman, since 1987 - Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR, Laureate of the pianists' competition named after I. B. Smetana (Czechoslovakia, 1971). As a child, Vladimir Bystryakov already showed composing skills. Not even ten years old, he wrote simple songs to the words of S. Marshak and other children's poets. Studied at the Lysenko Music School. In 1972 he graduated from the Kiev Conservatory. Shortly before graduation, he took part in the International Competition in Hradec Králové and won the first prize there.
