Vladimir Andreevich Kachan (May 18, 1947, Voroshilov, Primorsky Krai – May 7, 2021, Moscow) was a Soviet and Russian actor, musician, and writer. He was awarded the title of People's Artist of the Russian Federation in 2004. In 1969, he graduated from the B.V. Shchukin Theatre School at the Yevgeny Vakhtangov State Academic Theatre (class of Lvova). He played numerous roles in films and Moscow theatres, including working at the Youth Theatre and the Malaya Bronnaya Theatre under Anatoly Efros. Since 1991, he has been an artist with the Moscow School of Contemporary Play Theatre. He is a songwriter and performer and has performed in bard concerts. He is also an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (1996) and a People's Artist of the Russian Federation (2004).
