Woodkid (Yoann Lemoine) is a French music video director, graphic designer and singer-songwriter. He was born on 16 March 1983 in Lyon, France. He studied illustration and animation at the Emile Cohl School, where he graduated with honours. He then moved to London, where he studied silkscreen printing at Swindon College. After returning to Paris, he worked for a while at the graphics company H5, then joined director Luc Besson's team and worked on his project Arthur and the Minimoys. Lemoine's directorial work includes music videos for artists such as Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Mystery Jets and Moby, as well as short films and commercials. He released his debut single, "Iron", in March 2011. In May 2012, Yoann released his second single, "Run Boy Run", and later, on 18 March 2013, the album "The Golden Age" was released.
