Yasuaki Iwata is a video game composer. 3 Born in 1989 in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, he has worked for Nintendo since 2013. He has composed music for many games, such as the various retro courses in Mario Kart 8, most of the town, dungeon, Kass, and champion tracks in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and the main theme of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and its iterations. In July 2023, Iwata left Nintendo and became a freelance composer.
