Yuri Lenslavovich Tugarinov (4 February 1946, Moscow – 2 October 2012) – Soviet, Russian composer, choral conductor, music teacher. Honored Artist of Russia (1997). Graduated from the Music College of the Moscow Conservatory. Since 1963, he organized the first children's choral studios in Moscow. Since 1971 he worked at Mosconcert, since 1975 - in the Soviet song ensemble of the Central Television and Radio (solo pianist, teacher, conductor), in 1977-1984 - in the Central House of Children of Railway Workers (artistic director and chief conductor of the People's Song and Dance Ensemble). He was a member of the jury of the International Choir Olympiad (China, 2006), children's choral music festivals. Member of the Union of Composers of Russia. President of the Federation of Children's and Youth Choirs of Russia. Author of works for voice and piano, music for plays, and the collection “There is no end to the blue sky. Songs and choirs for children and youth.”
