Yuri Mikhailovich Chichkov (July 26, 1929, Moscow - August 6, 1990, ibid) - Soviet composer, People's Artist of the RSFSR (1989), Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1978), laureate of the USSR State Prize (1983) and Lenin Komsomol Prize (1972) . He graduated fr om the Institute of Military Conductors (1953), the Moscow Conservatory in the composition class of V. Ya. Shebalin (1959). Yuri Mikhailovich Chichkov was born and spent his childhood in Moscow. Interest in music showed at an early age, sang a lot. The first vocal teacher for him was his mother, to whom the composer would later devote many bright songs. She also brought Yura to a music school, wh ere his abilities were immediately appreciated with dignity.
