Jah Khalib, born Bakhtiyar Mammadov in Almaty, Kazakhstan, is a rapper, singer and sound producer of Azerbaijani roots. He rose to wide fame in the mid-2010s with the album “If Anything, I’m Bakha.” Many listeners use his tracks to learn modern melody and rhythm.
His music blends rap, hip-hop, pop-rap and contemporary hip-hop with eastern color. Albums like “E.G.O.” and songs such as “Medina,” “Princess and the Pauper,” and “Jadua” shaped his style. For piano, these works attract fans who want expressive arrangements and clear structure.
Jah Khalib won the Muz-TV “Breakthrough of the Year” award in 2017. The hit “Medina” received the Golden Gramophone in 2018. His concerts regularly gather large audiences across the CIS, Europe and the Middle East, and many musicians play his popular songs in covers.
